Here is a sample of my website design at RF Code from 2004 through 2005.

TAVIS™ DIVISION Document Center 2004-2005 - Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0+ only is recommended. |
Designed and developed in May 2004, the TAVIS™ Division "Document Center" intranet webpage was launched as part of my ongoing
effort to maintain all of the TAVIS™ Division software documentation at one central location on the network.
Linking to over 50 user manuals, plus dozens of functional specifications, data sheets, white papers and presentations,
I was proud to be the designer and developer on this project.

Graphic Design
Here are samples of my graphic designs at RF Code from 2003 through 2005.
- GUI Designs 2005 A1 | A2 | A3 - [A1-A3] Designed in October 2005, this RF Code "Asset Tracker" GUI mock-up was an experiment aimed at offering a brand-new Flash-based GUI as part of the application. Recalling my previous experience with Adobe® Illustrator 9.0, I designed this GUI in Adobe® Illustrator CS2, where I saved it as a JPG. In turn, this JPG image was provided to the Flash developer and division manager for review.
- CD Label Designs 2004 A1 | A2 - [A1] Designed in May 2004, the RF Code "Training Session 2004" CD label was first introduced as part of the "RF Code System Training" program. Manipulating my original "RF Code Splash" image, I designed this image in Adobe® Photoshop, where I saved it as a JPG. In turn, this JPG image was inserted into a new Microsoft® Word document. Finally, after several draft print-outs to refine the alignment, the Word document was printed onto CD-label sheets. [A2] In the second page, here is the same CD label without the white CD-shape masking. By printing without the mask, full coverage of the label is ensured.
- Product Label Designs 2004 A1 | A2 - [A1] Designed in April 2004, the RF Code "TAVIS™ Data Router" product label was first introduced as part of the "TAVIS™ Data Router" system. Manipulating my original "RF Code Splash" image, I designed this image in Adobe® Photoshop, where I saved it as a JPG. In turn, this JPG image was provided to the manufacturer/printer for application on the product. [A2] In the second page, here is the original product label with the white background, before the manufacturer/printer converted the white into a transparent element.
- Splash Designs 2003-2004 A1 | A2 | A3 | A4 | A5 | A6 | A7 - [A1-A7] Designed in November 2003, the "RF Code" splash images were first introduced as part of the RF Code TAVIS™ 2.1 software suite, namely, the TAVIS™ Control Station 2.1 and TAVIS™ Concentrator 2.1 applications. Over the next 12 months, I produced over a dozen different splashes for additional applications and versions. I designed these splashes in Adobe® Photoshop, where I saved them as JPGs. Consequently, the software developers inserted these images into the proper applications. The following pages display seven different splash images.
- Header Designs 2003-2004 A1 | A2 | A3 | A4 - On 13 Oct 2003, my first day at RF Code, I designed a new header as part of my project to reformat all RF Code user manuals. Over the next 12 months, I produced over 50 user manuals with headers based on this original design. I designed this header in Adobe® Photoshop, where I saved it as a JPG. Finally, this JPG image would be inserted into the user manual in Microsoft® Word. The following pages display four different header images.
- Cover Designs 2003 A1 |
A2 -
On 13 Oct 2003, my first day at RF Code, I applied a new cover as part of my project to reformat all RF Code user manuals.
Using my
original blue PurchasePro cover design, I readjusted its hue in Adobe® Photoshop, where I saved it as a JPG. Finally, this
JPG image would be inserted into the user manual in Microsoft® Word. On 26 Nov 2003, I designed a second cover as a better
reflection of the company and its technology. Over the next 12 months, I produced and managed over 50 user manuals with this
improved cover design. I designed this image in Adobe® Photoshop, where I saved it as a JPG. Finally, this JPG image would be
inserted into the user manual in Microsoft® Word. The following pages display the initial then improved cover image.

Page Layout
Here are samples of my page-layout designs at RF Code from 2003 through 2004.
- Data Sheets 2004 A1 | A2 - [A1-A2] Designed and developed in May 2004, the RF Code Data Sheets were released as introductions and advertisements of the upcoming or existing RF Code products. I was proud to be the sole designer and developer of these smaller projects.
- 1-2-3 Guides 2004 A1 |
A2 -
[A1-A2] Based on my original PurchasePro 1-2-3 Guide tri-fold, I designed and developed the RF Code 1-2-3 Guide tri-fold. The RF Code
1-2-3 Guide was designed and developed in Microsoft® Word. The logos and circle images were designed and/or manipulated in Adobe®
Photoshop, saved as GIFs, and inserted into the Microsoft® Word document. I was proud to be the sole designer and developer of these
documents.
