Captain Prometheus was already stressed out enough from his team’s Matrix mission, so great and sorely needed was the relief that came when word was radioed to him up in the cockpit from the Operator Station that they were successful and ready to return.

“Very good, Enigma. Tell them I’ll be glad to see them.”

“You can tell us yourself, Captain. Cause here we are!” TripTrick, as always on the verge of subordination, was at least safe.

But, the Captain’s relief was to be short-lived, and his short laughter of pure joy turned into a terrible cough when the SAR (Special Advance RADAR) went off silently in his peripheral vision. It glowed a fiery reddish-orange. He could not let them find him! There was no time to lose.

“Commander Pandora, this is not a drill. Prepare for Drop and Run.”

“Sir, yes Sir!” Captain Prometheus did his part in the cockpit, as he knew Pandora was doing hers.

“OK everybody, move it or lose it! This is NOT a drill! Look lively and take your stations for Operation Drop and Run.”

Even Sphinx didn’t take time to question. He ran to the special weapon battery in the rear and hoped that he wouldn’t have to use it. TripTrick & Lamb go to the medical station and strapped themselves in, hoping they wouldn’t be needed to replace any of the main crew. Key-Master runs to join the Captain in the cockpit while Enigma & Pandora run to a unique structure that is a heavily armored escape pod on the bottom of the ship.

Enigma & Pandora lock themselves in and activate the cloaking device. “Pandora, our luck can’t keep going red all the time, can it?”

    “Shush, you’ll ruin reality!”

“But, Pan, we are the only ones left in the Brotherhood.”

“No, there is one more. And we will make sure he is contacted so that this vital information is passed on and our mission can continue. So it has been, so it will be.”

With a sigh, En answers, “So it has been, so it will be.”

Captain Prometheus turns to see Key-Master join him. K-M stumbles as the ship unhooks itself from the small crevice in amongst the pipes and comes to full life with lights and sounds. This grand ship looks like no other ship in the fleet because it is unique. It is the “Red Dragon”. One can almost imagine it roaring to life after a century of slumber.
