THE FALL OF WATER
Fall A
[Choose Fall A to pick up the phone.]
"What?" Diva uttered. Looking at her monitor again, she saw that her online connection was still active. But with only a single line, how could the phone ring while she was still online? "How can that be?"
The phone -- Brr-Ring! -- rang once more.
Teetering on the edge between her downtrodden fear of the unknown and her defiant curiosity of knowing it, Diva forced the split-second decision to reach out and pick up the handset.
"Hello?" she answered, her pulse pounding rapidly in her ears. "Who is this?"
A woman's voice replied, "I think you know who it is, Waterfall."
Then the sudden realization hit Diva, "Um... 'The Sky is Falling'?"
"Yes," the hint of a smile seeped into the woman's reaction, "but you can call me 'Sky'."
"OK... Sky."
"Waterfall, I'll be brief," Sky quickened her tone. "If you want to know what the Matrix is, then meet me at the corner of Rainbow and Lakeview."
"OK... when?"
At that moment -- Click! -- Sky hung up.
Choose Fall A1 to leave immediately.
Choose Fall A2 to wait and think.
