Author's Note - This is the first appearance of Sky
in any story or path, back on May 24-25, 2003. And within a couple months, her introductory
personality developed into an unforgettable character. --Jay
[Path B3. Back to her room.]
For a second, Cyberreyn heads toward the ladder, toward the cockpit, but changes her mind. Maybe now is not the time to see Captain Kan-chiang, her liberator, mentor, and confidant. She turns back down the hallway toward her room. She laughs to herself; her room is just another tin can, and she's the "goop" inside it.
"Something funny?"
Cyberreyn looks back to the soothing voice behind her. It's Sky, one of Nosferatu's senior crew members.
"Not really," Cyberreyn stops hesitantly to answer.
Sky closes the washroom door, pulling a strand of her blond hair away from her green eyes. "That's fine. For what it's worth, I know exactly what you're going through. When Kan-chiang first unplugged me, I too had the nightmares, the sleepless nights, the unending doubts. They DO fade... in time."
"That's what everyone says."
"Of course," Sky replies, standing akimbo. "I wouldn't be much of a commander if noone did what I told them."
Cyberreyn looks up and smiles.
"Hey, you can actually smile!" Sky laughs. "Now, what do you feel like doing? We can join the captain up in the cockpit... or join Flicker and one of his famous simulations."
