an empty shudder

\nwere her last remnants
\nof their hollow fling<\/p>\n

his flight took off
\nas she walked away
\npast the bustling crowds
\ninto the sunlight of day<\/p>\n

a futile breath
\nwith each new stride
\nnot caring for love
\nshe was always denied<\/p>\n

but a shadow above
\ncaught her staring eye
\na distant sparrow
\nhovering in the sky<\/p>\n

before she knew it
\nand beheld the view
\ntwo dancing sparrows
\nagainst the bright blue<\/p>\n

surprising herself
\nshe dared to imagine
\ntransporting her soul
\nbeyond the horizon<\/p>\n
