We were joking.\n<li>Mish: What!?!\n<li>T [nods at K, turns to Mish]: Haha, yeah, you&#8217;re such an easy target!\n<li>Mish [smacks K&#8217;s shoulder]: I can&#8217;t believe u guys. Really, I can&#8217;t believe u.\n<li>T [laughs]: What? Didn&#8217;t u just say we were hopeless?\n<li>Mish: I was just being polite.\n<li>K: Haha, polite? How is that being polite?\n<li>T: Hahaha!\n<li>Mish [looks down]: Forget it. I&#8217;ll ask somebody else.\n<li>K: Hey wait, wait.\n<li>T: Come on, Mish, we&#8217;re just teasing. So why do ya need cat-ears?<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<li>Mish [smiles]: Oh! My friend Viki was talking about it, how her boyfriend Jake seems to love them. So she was asking where she could find them.\n<li>T: Ummm, I&#8217;m no expert, but I&#8217;m sure u could order those on the web somewhere.\n<li>Mish: Nooo, it&#8217;ll be too late if she orders them. She wanted to get them by tomorrow to surprise him. So maybe an anime store nearby or something?\n<li>K: Surprise him? What? Jake&#8217;s birthday?\n<li>Mish: I guess so. I didn&#8217;t really ask her.\n<li>K: Well, if it&#8217;s a surprise, there aren&#8217;t that many explanations. A birthday. An anniversary. Something like that?\n<li>Mish [sighs]: I don&#8217;t know. I told u I didn&#8217;t ask.\n<li>K: Okay-okay, just curious.\n<li>Mish [sighs]: Anyway&#8230; Do u know any stores?\n<li>K: Ehhh, not that I&#8217;m aware of.\n<li>T: Me neither. Sorry.\n<li>Mish: That&#8217;s okay. It was worth a shot&#8230; But I think I&#8217;m beginning to understand.\n<li>K: Understand what?\n<li>T: What&#8217;s that?\n<li>Mish: Why Jimi would yell at u two. U ask too many questions.\n<li>K and T [surprised]: &#8230;\n<li>Mish: Oh, I&#8217;m sorry. I didn&#8217;t mean to sound mean. She said that buying half-naked figures was the only way to make up for our lack of sex!\n<li>Mish: &#8230;\n<li>Mish: Is that true?\n<li>T: I don&#8217;t know. I don&#8217;t think so.\n<li>Mish [to K]: Katt, are these the same kinds of figures u showed me on that anime site?\n<li>K: Yeah, a bit of <a target=\"new\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dannychoo.com\/\">DannyChoo.com<\/a>. But mostly <a target=\"new\" href=\"http:\/\/www.toyslogic.com\/\">ToysLogic.com<\/a>.\n<li>Mish: Ohhh. They were PRETTY. And the ones with the school uniforms were so cute.\n<li>T: So u agree with her?\n<li>Mish: I didn&#8217;t say that. I mean, it&#8217;s not like u kept score, and bought a new figure for each time u didn&#8217;t get a date. Is it?\n<li>T: Haha, no.\n<li>K: Not that u looked for any dates.\n<li>T [to K]: Screw u.\n<li>Mish: But I can understand what she&#8217;s saying.\n<li>K and T: &#8230;\n<li>T: She was also talking about pain and trying to forget pain. And I guess anime is our way of dealing with pain.\n<li>K: In other words, pain defines us.\n<li>K and T: &#8230;\n<li>Mish: I disagree.\n<li>K and T: Huh?\n<li>Mish: I said I disagree with Jimi. Pain doesn&#8217;t define us. Love does.\n<li>K and T [look at each other]: &#8230;\n<li>K: Love?\n<li>T: Huh? Explanation please?\n<li>Mish [laughs]: U guys are funny.\n<li>T: I hope that&#8217;s good.\n<li>Mish: It&#8217;s good.\n<li>K: Hmmm. So how does &#8220;love&#8221; define us?\n<li>Mish: First, let me ask u this. When Jimi talked about sex and pain, how did love fit into it?\n<li>K: Hmmm.\n<li>T: Ummm, u know&#8230; I don&#8217;t think she mentioned it at all. Did she?\n<li>K: Nope. Just pain and power. Nothing about love.\n<li>Mish: Yeah, I thought so.\n<li>K and T: &#8230;\n<li>Mish [moves closer]: I&#8217;m gonna let u guys in on a secret.\n<li>T: Okay.\n<li>K: Go ahead.\n<li>Mish: There&#8217;s only one &#8220;original&#8221; emotion&#8211; love. What I mean by &#8220;original&#8221; is that it&#8217;s the only emotion which creates every other emotion. The love is what starts everything.\n<li>K and T [look at each other]: &#8230;\n<li>T [to K]: Uh-oh, Katt, I think it&#8217;s happening again.\n<li>K [to T]: Yup, u might be right.\n<li>T: Ummm, Mish, I think u lost us.\n<li>Mish [straightens back]: Ohhh, I&#8217;m sorry. Did that sound weird?\n<li>K: Well, could u rephrase it?\n<li>T: Yeah, could u?\n<li>Mish: Ohhh, sure!\n<li>K: Like maybe a metaphor or something?\n<li>Mish: Sure, I can try that. Actually, I already have one in mind.\n<li>T: Cool.\n<li>Mish: Let&#8217;s see&#8230; If u can imagine that love is like the sun, then every other emotion is a reflection of that sunlight. The love is the original color which creates all other colors.\n<li>T [gasps]: Wow.\n<li>K: Hmmm.\n<li>Mish: Yeah. As I see it, u can only feel hate if u feel just as much love somewhere else. The hate is a reflection of that love. Same thing with envy and jealousy. U can only feel jealous if you&#8217;ve been affected by love. So hate and envy and jealousy are all reflections of the original love.\n<li>K: So when u talk about pain&#8230;\n<li>T: &#8230;\n<li>Mish: Pain is also a reflection of love. The greater the love, the greater the pain.\n<li>K and T: &#8230;\n<li>K [to T]: Ahhh. So when Jimi was talking about Danny&#8217;s pain&#8230;\n<li>T [to K]: Yeah. He must&#8217;ve felt just as much love somewhere else.\n<li>K: Hmmm, I wonder if that&#8217;s what Jimi meant.\n<li>T: About what?\n<li>K: About resenting his dad. I don&#8217;t really remember the details. But if Danny as a kid loved his dad so much, and his dad suddenly left him behind to move to Britain, then&#8211; Damn, that would suck. Big time.\n<li>T: Ahhh, that would explain his pain.\n<li>K: Yeah. Definitely.\n<li>Mish [curious]: Is this the same Danny as DannyChoo.com?\n<li>K [to Mish]: Yeah. Same one.\n<li>T: In that case, if all this is true, then Danny isn&#8217;t defined by his pain. Corny as it sounds, he&#8217;s defined by the love which CAUSED that pain.\n<li>Mish and K [at the same time]: Exactly&#8230;\n<li>K: &#8230;Very corny.\n<li>T: Haha.\n<li>Mish: What!?!\n<li>K [laughs]: Don&#8217;t worry about it.\n<li>Mish: &#8230;\n<li>T [thinks]: So Jimi&#8217;s theory wasn&#8217;t entirely wrong. It was just incomplete.\n<li>K: Yeah&#8230; Maybe.\n<li>T: Maybe? Not convinced?\n<li>K: Haha, you&#8217;re not gonna like this. But something&#8217;s beginning to bug me&#8230;\n<li>T [sighs]: Oh no, not again!\n<li>Mish [confused]: What? What&#8217;s wrong?\n<li>T [laughs to Mish]: Katt&#8217;s going through one of his over-analyzing modes again!\n<li>Mish [confused]: &#8230;\n<li>K [thinks]: Well, I get what you&#8217;re saying about love triggering all other emotions. I get that. But&#8230;\n<li>T: But what?\n<li>K: But when we start talking about Danny&#8217;s love of anime and figures and stormtrooping&#8230; Don&#8217;t u think it&#8217;s a bit complicated to say that Danny&#8217;s love for his dad triggered his pain, then that pain triggered another love, in this case, his love of anime? It seems too convoluted, too many steps.\n<li>T: Too many steps?\n<li>K: Yeah. Don&#8217;t u think it would be a lot SIMPLER to say that he simply felt an original love of anime? Just one step?\n<li>T [laughs]: Haha, yeah. I suppose it would&#8230; Wait!\n<li>K: What?\n<li>T: Original love? I thought u said it was an addiction!\n<li>K: What are u talking about? I was talking about being addicted to popularity and success!
