This past week, I’ve been watching the post-apocalyptic anime Innocent Venus<\/em><\/strong>. And after 4 of 12 episodes, it rocks! (So far, 4 of 5 stars!) But one thing that caught my ear, was the voice for the blonde-but-deadly “Lenny”. In fact, her dark throaty voice reminded me of the just-as-beautiful-but-deadly twin-gunned “Revy” from the amazingly brutal anime Black Lagoon<\/em><\/strong> (5 of 5 stars for both seasons together!). So I checked, and guess what? I was right, the same voice actress: Megumi Toyoguchi! But that’s not all…<\/p>\n

This past month, I’ve also been re-watching the sci-fi Star Trek Voyager<\/em><\/strong> series, Season 4 which introduces “Seven of Nine”. Well, in Episode #20, “Vis a Vis”, one particular name in the introductory credits caught my eye: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. She was an anime voice actress! But which anime? As the episode unfolded, I forgot the question. That is, until the unforgettable voice struck my ear. It was the English-dub voice of “Major Motoko Kusanagi” from the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex<\/em><\/strong> series! Damn! And she wasn’t bad as a Star Trek<\/em> alien, lol.
