Xjaymanx

  • Profile of the Architect

    • Xjaymanx grew up with a predilection for science, mathematics, drawing, and those ubiquitous LEGO blocks, building anything from racing cars to Star Wars fighters and transports.

    • Beginning his college career in architecture and psychology, he somehow fell into the extracurricular literary arts, and ended up with a degree in civil engineering.

    • Bouncing around from his home state of New York to Ohio (where he found his soon-to-be wife through the ethereal melodies of Tori Amos), he abandoned his master's thesis in airport design, and finally settled with his wife in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999.

    • Tinkering with web design, enduring some data entry, and suffering brief but necessary stints as a mortgage agent and licensed REALTORŪ, Xjaymanx is currently and thankfully the lead technical writer (and default graphic designer) for a leading RFID company.

    • In his scraps of spare time, he enjoys shuffling his 11-Gig MP3 collection, cranking out fanfics for the Matrix and Firefly universes, hammering websites together, and basking in the breeze of an action-packed Japanese manga.

    • Music - Progressive/Melodic/Dream Trance such as 4 Strings, Fragma, 303infinity, Cynic Project, Ghost in the Machine, 303 Dreams; film soundtracks such as The Matrix, Titanic, Moulin Rouge, The Fifth Element, Romeo+Juliet, The Piano; as well as Linkin Park, Evanescence, Nine Inch Nails, Garbage, Alice In Chains, Ani DiFranco, Counting Crows, Tori Amos, Queensryche, Kate Bush, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Mozart, Vivaldi, etc.

    • Anime - Animatrix, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, Gasaraki, Lain, Witch Hunter Robin, Ninja Scroll, Princess Mononoke, Vampire Hunter D, Blood: The Last Vampire, Hellsing, etc.

    • Red Pill or Blue Pill? This may come as a shock to some, but if I had never witnessed the film, and a dark suspicious figure offered this strange mysterious choice to me, I'd have to choose the blue pill. After putting some realistic thought into it, I'd have to descend to such a desperate low, to plunge to such a pathetic loneliness, where I'd have to be so disheartened, so dispirited, so disillusioned with life, enough to abandon my family, my friends, and the only world I ever knew. Fortunately, I have never fallen to such a terrifying place. Besides, if it also meant leaving behind my wife, the red pill would have absolutely no chance at all.
